Dresden at your feet

The KIM HOTEL DRESDEN and the KIM HOTEL IM PARK by now look back on a 15-year history of success. The KIM HOTEL IM PARK was built in 1995, two years later the construction work of the hotel facility high above Dresden was finally finished.

It all started with a visit of company founder Rudolf Kimmerle to Dresden. The builder had acquired properties in and around Dresden with his home builder and commercial building company, built houses and thus discovered the high touristic potential of the western part of Dresden. The city of Dresden with its rich cultural heritage had a special appeal to him. 

Motivated by private predilection and as flagship for his group of companies, he decided to build a 4-star hotel facility on the hillsides over the Elbe Valley. At this time, this area was a cleared area with a fantastic view over Dresden. 

Today, the two hotels KIM HOTEL DRESDEN and KIM HOTEL IM PARK make up a 15 percent share of the total Kimmerle Group. By now, more than 40 employees work at the hotels. Meanwhile, Rudolf Kimmerle as initiator and pioneer, contributed significantly to the positive urban development of the western part of Dresden. 

The hotels and the entire group of companies are still family-run. Many famous visitors of Dresden like German singer Stefanie Hertel, the former chancelor's wife Doris Schröder-Köpf, German comedian, singer and actor Mike Krüger, German TV host Wolfgang Lippert and the German Olympic team of 2000 were convinced of the superb service and the advantages of the KIM HOTEL DRESDEN and the KIM HOTEL IM PARK.
